About me
My name is Cecelia Clancy and I am a senior at Sport and Medical Sciences Academy. Something that has been consistent in my life and that I have always loved to do is help people. Ever since I was young my mother has always kept me aware of the needs of others and not just myself. I think this played a huge role in why I am so eager to help others and see them succeed. I am also a person who loves challenges. I don’t always like things to come easy to me, but I am also very self aware and understand the difference between something challenging me and something being unrealistic. With this being said capstone wasn’t really hard for me to figure out. Once I had my idea it was set in stone and I was prepared to move forward to the next step. Almost my entire life I’ve been connected to the Women’s League Child Development Center in some way. From attending their facility as a young child, to being involved in their summer program, to being a little older and becoming a junior leader at their summer program for 3 years, to now being able to have their help with my capstone project. This facility has really had a special place in my heart and it means a lot to me to give back to a Women’s League family. Which is why I will be fundraising money to pay for a family's rent for one month.
Mission Statement
I truly value helping people and finding ways to make life a little easier on individuals. My mission is to attend college and major in health sciences. In my career of being a pediatric nurse practitioner I want to be able to make a difference in people's lives physically, emotionally, and mentally. Not only do I want to physically take care of people, but I want to show and encourage young children to fight for what they want to be in life. I also want to be able to share experiences in my life that motivates people to reach for their goals as well. I want to live a life where I can look back and say I truly helped in every way I could.
